In computer networking, each data transaction has a cost which relates to microseconds of processing time and the greatest pitfall in IT is the unrealistic expectation that transactions can be added without consequence. Computer networking has a series of rules for its successful operation, although systems can be added to and operate while breaking these rules, degredadtion is occuring and one day that degredation will show as a failure seemly out of the blue. At CitiNet we design systems for the long haul where they dont fail, but we also re-optimise bulky computer systems and create powerful systems which are simple, secure, reliable and of course extremly fast in performance. The model for security is easy... simplicity and follow the known best practise guidelines like a firewall or NAT, anti virus, software updates, good password behaviour and a good healthy dose of common sense. And of course for data protection regular backups and encryption where your at risk.
